City School Perry Center - Family Services Center Overview

The Family Service Center (FSC) is centrally located on the first floor of the Perry Center. Their services are provided through Grand Blanc Community Schools. The Family Service Center is a one stop connection to information and services for families living within the Grand Blanc School District. We can provide assistance when issues are overwhelming or just plain frustrating. We are 100% confidential and our services are completely free. The FSC also has a lending library for parents. There is all kinds of information available in the library.Some of the resources the library has available is books on child development, ADHD, divorce, or raising a teenager. Parents are welcome to stop in and check out the library any time during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or call to make an appointment.The phone number to the Family Service Center is 591-6082 or Mrs. Bellant can be reached by email also at sbellant@grandblancschools.org.

the Great Start Readiness Program (G.S.R.P.)

We are now ACCEPTING applications for fall of 2010 in the GSRP program. The GSRP program is a FREE preschool program for children who will be 4 years old by December 1, 2010. Children entering the GSRP program must have some risk factors that could put them at risk for being successful in school. Some of the risk factors are being low income, having speech delays, or lives in a single parent home.

Community Resources

There are several community resources or agencies that are available to help families get through stressful times. Some of these resources can help with weatherizing your home, foreclosure, shut off notices, eviction notices, food stamps, and health insurance. These are just to name a few. Please, if you need help reaching any of these organizations, please call me.
